Academic Accolades:
This course is phenomenal. Mr. Austin teaches all the concepts of preparing and delivering a proper speech in an easy and fun way, while keeping kids engaged at all times. This was the only course my daughter was always excited about and looking forward to every session. The knowledge she acquired from the very first session and the improvement she has demonstrated is impressive. e.g. posture, gesture, selection of words, confidence… We canât wait until the next course so she can keep practicing and improving under Mr. Austin’s guidance. We recommend this course to any child.L. Mcart

I canât overstate the impact this class has had on my little girlâs confidence and self-esteem. Before my eyes, in only 3 months, she blossomed from a shy introvert into an outgoing extrovert, bursting with enthusiasm. During the final class (the showcase for the parents) she came up with a kitty cat dance and all the other children joined in. Then she teared up and looked at me saying âthis was the best day of my lifeâ. Now she confidently walks up to other children and makes friends with ease. All because of Mr. Austinâs thoughtful, caring instruction. Thank you Austin!!Bhakti Balachandar
Austin’s enthusiasm is contagious. He went above and beyond the call of duty to colorfully illustrate difficult concepts. What a blessing he’s been to us.Paul and Susan R

recommendsMr. Austin is AMAZING! My daughter took his Public Speaking Level 1 class and it was an extremely positive experience. Mr. Austin made the class so much fun. My daughter always looked forward to class and to giving speeches. It was so rewarding to see how dramatically her presentation skills improved each week. The last session of the course is a showcase where parents can attend. I saw first hand why she enjoys the class so much. Mr. Austin was so encouraging and supportive and there was great interaction among the students. She is looking forward to taking more classes with Mr. Austin!Christine Kines2022-12-05recommendsMy son, Weston is already registered for Public Speaking Level 2. He absolutely loves his classes every Tuesday and looks forward to them with excitement. It has been amazing to witness how nervous and unsure he was during the first few classes (even seriously doubting whether he even wanted to participate) and now he has incredible confidence not only in speaking in front of others, but in expressing his authentic self! We so appreciate Mr. Austin's teaching enthusiasm and the fact that he makes learning a critical skill so fun!đCristy Jenkins2022-11-30recommendsWe absolutely LOVE this program! My 10 year old was a very reluctant public speaker, Mr. Austin not only encouraged him to come out of his shell but to enjoy the art of telling stories. My husband is an international speaker and we were both amazed as his progress throughout the course. He is more confident, and eager to share his perspective in and out of the classroom. A secondary benefit that turned into a blessing was the progress he made in formulating papers and writing. We are going to finish all three courses!Tiffany Chepke2022-09-06recommendsThe thought of another public speaking class made my student's groan at first, but they quickly came to really look forward to class each week. Mr. Austin makes class fun, but he what impresses me the most is the way he continually builds up and inspires the students. The class addresses public speaking, and they practice weekly, but the confident habits they learn are for all areas of life. We look forward to starting our next class with Mr. Austin in a couple of weeks.Mandi Sponder Vissers2022-09-05recommendsI love how Mr. Austin is sincerely passionate about helping and teaching students. He is very encouraging and tries to create a safe place for the kids to be themselves. I appreciate how Mr.Austin tries to find something positive about each student and their speeches and at the same time he gives them an area to work on. I also like how he incorporates vocabulary to his class. On top of public speaking opportunities, I see how creative and descriptive my kids are with their writing as they are preparing their topics/speech for his class. I would definitely recommend this class!Sarah Chon2022-09-02recommendsPublic Speaking is a wonderful class and Mr. Austin is a top notch instructor. When we signed up for Public Speaking our 8yo was shy, quiet and didnât like to speak in general. We knew the class would be a âstretchâ but Mr. Austin made it comfortable, fun and safe. While still reserved and quiet, our child was able to build up confidence with Mr. Austinâs support and encouragement to become a good speaker. This is a real life skill that is so important to learn. Mr. Austin fun, energetic, compassionate and professional. The class is engaging and your child will learn so much.Michele Logan2022-08-31recommendsI have a 10 and 12 year old who completed public speaking level 1 and are anxiously awaiting the start of level 2. Opportunities like these classes are why we homeschool and it makes my heart glad to overhear the safe and uplifting environment Mr. Austin is creating for the students. We are intentional with those who speak into our kids lives and Iâm happy to have him on that team.Erin Willoughby2022-08-31recommendsWe are so happy that we found Mr. Austin and his Public Speaking class! It has done amazing things for our daughterâs confidence in speaking with others (and using big words!) It has also taught me as a parent about being a better encourager. She looks forward to the class every week, and while I stay within earshot of the Zoom calls to help out if Iâm needed, Mr. Austin has complete control of his class. Itâs all VERY well organized and conducted.Jackie Neilson2022-08-27recommendsThis is the first online class we've done that we absolutely love. We like it so much we're enrolled in a 3rd semester! My son's ability to transfer his imaginative stories into written word while sharing his thoughts with ease and confidence has become second nature to him. Mr. Austin is encouraging, inspiring and he builds confidence while teaching the kids to encourage each other. Also, my son will bring up advice he's learned in class when applying it to real-life situations. Mr. Austin has been an excellent teacher and mentor for my son and we're lucky to have found him.Yvonne Rae2022-08-12recommendsI just want to thank you for such great classes! I have enjoyed listening in, while trying not to stay too close so A doesnât worry about me being there. Mondays kind of ended up being tough because either we have been away or I have my nieces and nephews. (like today) They all had fun last night trying to decide how silly they could be today for the âsilly speechâ. This meant a lot because my nieces and nephews are in public school and donât understand homeschooling. This has been part of what has messed with Aâs confidence to try and answer, âwhat do you do all day?â and âbut, you donât even see your friends everyday, how can that be fun?â And they certainly do not get âschooling during the summerâ! But, they were all so excited by your class and being a part of it with A and thought it was fun, ânot like a regular, boring classâ. đ I apologize if it was a little chaotic, but I truly appreciate it and if thereâs an extra fee for extra stand inâs like today, please let me know and I am happy to send that. When September rolls around it will be a little more ânormalâ, but our next few Mondays will be âclass while campingâ, âcousins in town from Michiganâ and our next door cousins K and C sleeping here or A there. K and A are three months apart in age, (BFFs from birth) and K is very outgoing and always has stories to tell about âher friends in schoolâ and Avery has met them. Itâs been a bit tough for A to contribute to conversations that get overshadowed by what goes on in their public school day as our days are just not filled with any âschool dramaâ as they say. What was great is that today, K got to âmeetâ some of Aâs school friends and see that learning this way is fun and even silly. And âyou get to strand up and be funny and youâre teacher is even fun and silly!â I donât even know if A used the word of the day today, but the impact meant so much more.đ Thank you for your amazing classes!Jennifer Christie Helmka2022-07-26
