Mr. Austin is AMAZING! My daughter took his Public Speaking Level 1 class and it was an extremely positive experience. Mr. Austin made the class so much fun. My daughter always looked forward to class and to giving speeches. It was so rewarding to see how dramatically her presentation skills improved each week. The last session of the course is a showcase where parents can attend. I saw first hand why she enjoys the class so much. My son, Weston is already registered for Public Speaking Level 2.  He absolutely loves his classes every Tuesday and looks forward to them with excitement.  It has been amazing to witness how nervous and unsure he was during the first few classes (even seriously doubting whether he even wanted to participate) and now he has incredible confidence not only in speaking in front of others, but in expressing his authentic self! We absolutely LOVE this program! My 10 year old was a very reluctant public speaker, Mr. Austin not only encouraged him to come out of his shell but to enjoy the art of telling stories. My husband is an international speaker and we were both amazed as his progress throughout the course. He is more confident, and eager to share his perspective in and out of the classroom. The thought of another public speaking class made my student's groan at first, but they quickly came to really look forward to class each week.  Mr. Austin makes class fun, but he what impresses me the most is the way he continually builds up and inspires the students.  The class addresses public speaking, and they practice weekly, but the confident habits they learn are for all areas of life. I love how Mr. Austin is sincerely passionate about helping and teaching students. He is very encouraging and tries to create a safe place for the kids to be themselves. I appreciate how Mr.Austin tries to find something positive about each student and their speeches and at the same time he gives them an area to work on. I also like how he incorporates vocabulary to his class. On top of public speaking opportunities, I see how creative and descriptive my kids are with their writing as they are preparing their topics/speech for his class. Public Speaking is a wonderful class and Mr. Austin is a top notch instructor.  When we signed up for Public Speaking our 8yo was shy, quiet and didn’t like to speak in general.  We knew the class would be a “stretch” but Mr. Austin made it comfortable, fun and safe.   While still reserved and quiet, our child was able to build up confidence with Mr. Austin’s support and encouragement to become a good speaker. I have a 10 and 12 year old who completed public speaking level 1 and are anxiously awaiting the start of level 2. Opportunities like these classes are why we homeschool and it makes my heart glad to overhear the safe and uplifting environment Mr. Austin is creating for the students. We are so happy that we found Mr. Austin and his Public Speaking class! It has done amazing things for our daughter’s confidence in speaking with others (and using big words!) It has also taught me as a parent about being a better encourager.

This is the first online class we've done that we absolutely love.  We like it so much we're enrolled in a 3rd semester! My son's ability to transfer his imaginative stories into written word while sharing his thoughts with ease and confidence has become second nature to him.   Mr. Austin is encouraging, inspiring and he builds confidence while teaching the kids to encourage each other. Also, my son will bring up advice he's learned in class when applying it to real-life situations. I just want to thank you for such great classes! I have enjoyed listening in, while trying not to stay too close so A doesn’t worry about me being there. Mondays kind of ended up being tough because either we have been away or I have my nieces and nephews. (like today) They all had fun last night trying to decide how silly they could be today for the “silly speech”. This meant a lot because my nieces and nephews are in public school and don’t understand homeschooling. This has been part of what has messed with A’s confidence to try and answer, “what do you do all day?” and “but, you don’t even see your friends everyday, how can that be fun?” And they certainly do not get “schooling during the summer”!

But, they were all so excited by your class and being a part of it with A and thought it was fun, “not like a regular, boring class”. 😂 I apologize if it was a little chaotic, but I truly appreciate it and if there’s an extra fee for extra stand in’s like today, please let me know and I am happy to send that. When September rolls around it will be a little more “normal”, but our next few Mondays will be “class while camping”, “cousins in town from Michigan” and our next door cousins K and C sleeping here or A there.

K and A are three months apart in age, (BFFs from birth) and K is very outgoing and always has stories to tell about “her friends in school” and Avery has met them. It’s been a bit tough for A to contribute to conversations that get overshadowed by what goes on in their public school day as our days are just not filled with any “school drama” as they say. What was great is that today, K got to “meet” some of A’s school friends and see that learning this way is fun and even silly. And “you get to strand up and be funny and you’re teacher is even fun and silly!” I don’t even know if A used the word of the day today, but the impact meant so much more.😁 Thank you for your amazing classes!
